Even though the work load was high last week, I managed to go to Deira with my friend after logging out. It was in a boat, crossing the famous Dubai Creek. As the sun was down, the temperature was less. The Dubai city looks beautiful at night. The multi color lights, slow moving traffic, a long view of Burj Khalif... that was a beautiful journey. Many private tour organizers arrange boats in the creek with music and dinner. Even Dubai Road Transport Authority got water taxies across the creek. Apart from this, there is another cheap mode of transport. 1 Dhirham taxi. It’s an open boat which can carry around 12 peoples at a time. It was a nice trip to cross the creek via this boat.
It took around 10 minutes to cross the creek. Our plan was to return as early as possible. After reaching Deira, our plans got changed. The Creek is the border of Deira city also. As a result, the traffic is less. Its nice to walk through the streets of Deira. Though the traffic is less, the population density is high compared to Dubai city. As our plans are changed, we decided to walk through the streets. The time was around 11.00 PM. But the streets are still crowded. We were tired after a long walk. We were not in a position to walk back and cross the creek. Luckily we got a bus just to the place where we live. We reached our room around 12.15 AM. Even though we were so tired, we enjoyed our trip.
Waiting for another holiday for a new adventure....
Fri(Holi)day:
Today is Friday...! Today is holiday. Leaving all the workloads behind, everybody is enjoying. Hence, the road traffic is bit high. Since the temperature is high during daytime, all the shopping needs are carried out during the evening. Its nice to walk through the streets of Dubai. We can have a nice view of Irani sweet shops, traditional Arabian buildings, specialized restaurants for North and South Indian dishes etc...
Expectation for another Friday starts from tomorrow. For another day to relax....

Goodbye RAK....
Today I am saying goodbye to Ras Al Khaimah. After one month, I am going back to Dubai. I got transferred to our Head office in Bur Dubai.
With sweet memories in mind and feelings in my heart, I am saying goodbye. Love your beauty and atmosphere. I'm gona miss you a lot...

Ras al-Khaimah:
While coming to Middle East, I wished to see deserts and Camels. Yesterday, I got a chance to see them. It was in the journey to Ras Al Khaimah. I was hired to Ras Al Khaimah branch. Yesterday, along with officials, I reached here by afternoon. The journey took around two hours. Crossing the desert at a speed of 120Kmph was something like dream comes true.
The Ras al Khaimah is just the opposite of Dubai. The place is calm and nearly village type. All I can see is the big trucks carrying heavy blocks of rock to the nearby cement factory. The air is filled with dust caused by trucks. The roads seem to be carrying low traffic. Trees are planted throughout the dividers. This might be reason; the temperature is little less here compared to Dubai. Let's wait and see what happens next...

Deira:
It’s my fourth day in Deira branch... The branch is located near to "HYATT" building near to the main road. ...though there are many foreigners here, the streets are not crowded compared to the Bur-Dubai. The main highlight of the street is the Coffee shops and Internet cafe. They will be opened till late night. Deira is also famous for Computer accessories. You can get any thing associated with Computer from the flash memory to Intel processor. The roads are busy and carrying high traffics. The work of underground metro is in progress. Once the work is completed, the road traffic will be reduced. The sea port can be viewed from the road. I am so lucky I got a chance to view the "Queen Mary 2" the luxury ocean liner on my way to office.
Dubai Creek:

The famous Dubai Creek is just behind my office. The Dubai Creek sepate Bur Dubai from Deira Dubai. The place is also called as Abbra Station, which means boat station. More than a Abbra safari, the place is good for evening relax. The high speed traffic in Deira Dubai, chilled breeze from the Creek, skyscrapers in Dubai can be enjoyed from Abbra Station. The Abbra station is always crowded with the tourists.
Lubna Restaurant:
The best kerala restauarant in Bur Dubai. Yes, that name really suits it. The taste of appam, cappathy, matta rice... etc reminds me of my home. Mostly all the keralites will be arriving in Lubna for their lunch.
Al Mussalla Road:
That’s the street name where I am staying. I also know that I had to take a right turn from the Mussalla Tower which I am not sure about the location. Mussalla road is very calm area compared to other roads which I am crossing daily to reach my office.
Dubai: Land of Luxury, Land of Opportunities.
20th March, 2011. It was a fine morning with clear blue sky. I landed on the soil of Dubai with new hope and expectations. There were six guys in the room including me in room. Two of them working in the Deira Dubai branch. After a hot shower, I went to office. I had a very warm welcome in my new office.
Emirates
It was scheduled on 20th March 2011 at 4:30 AM. Due to delay, the flight took off at 5:25 AM. Since the timing was so odd, I felt very tired. I was so sleepy.
I tried to sleep a bit in the airport. But with no help, I had to sit awake, watching the flights ascending and descending. I reached the airport around 1:30 AM. I had to spend a long 4 hours in the airport without company.
Around 5:35 AM, the flight was 10,000 feet above Kochi, with destination Dubai in the radar.
